Geo Land, Inc. (GLI) is a land surveying and mapping consulting firm serving the greater Northern California and Nevada Region with geospatial services. GLI specializes in geospatial collection and processing, Topographic Surveys, Legal Descriptions, Final Maps, and ALTA Surveys. GLI maintains a medium sized staff to accommodate most project needs, but promotes strong professional relationships with other firms to facilitate occasional overflow and teaming opportunities. GLI has managed every size project, from small one lot residential surveys, to multi-year commercial developments, with extraordinary success.
Managaing Principal Chris Johnson has over 40 years of geospatial experience on every type of project imaginable, and is licensed in 4 western states (CA, NV, AZ, & CO). Mr. Johnson is also a certified California Legal Document Assistant/Paralegal (LDA) allowing him to understand many legal documents as it relates to project needs. Mr. Johnson’s experience in the geo-spatial profession started in 1978 with the 82nd Airborne Division, parachuting out of C-130’s packing a Wild T-16 theodolite(transit) for use on the ground. Through the next 35 years he grew his experience working in both small and large firms, becoming a principal partner with a large California surveying firm, a principal and COO with a large international mapping firm, and eventually starting his own geo-spatial firm, Geo Land, Inc.
